Ross Seidman, Esquire joins MD Energy Advisors as the Vice President and head of its new Advisory Services team. A senior public affairs and government strategist, Ross brings firsthand knowledge of policy and regulatory impacts of emerging legislation for energy, the environment, education and housing within the State of Maryland and beyond. A rare combination of energy-sector knowledge and public-policy know-how, Ross is a trusted advisor to executives of utility companies, merchant generators, and enterprises with high-energy consumption requirements as they navigate the complex energy, environmental, and regulatory landscape.

Before joining MDEA, Ross was senior counsel to Bill Ferguson, President of the Senate of Maryland, and proved an invaluable advisor on many recent landmark policy decisions and significant energy and utility policies like the Utility RELIEF Act, the Next Generation Energy Act, the Renewable Energy Certainty Act and the Climate Solutions Now Act of 2022 described by The Washington Post as “one of the most ambitious climate change plans in the U.S.”

Ross obtained a Bachelor of Arts in American Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park, a Master of Education from Johns Hopkins University, and his Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.
