Phil Croskey brings more than two decades of executive and managerial experience to his role as CEO and Co-Founder of MD Energy Advisors. As CEO, he defines the company’s strategic vision, drives enterprise growth, and serves as its lead communicator and brand ambassador.

Since co-founding MD Energy Advisors in 2010, Phil has guided the firm’s transformation from a Baltimore start-up into a nationally recognized energy solutions and advisory company serving utilities, government agencies, and commercial clients across the United States. Under his leadership, MD Energy Advisors has built a reputation for delivering innovative energy efficiency, financing, and advisory solutions that help clients make smarter, more sustainable energy decisions.

Before launching MD Energy Advisors, Phil served as Director of Real Estate Development at the Baltimore Development Corporation (BDC), where he managed projects exceeding $3 billion that advanced economic growth for the City of Baltimore. Earlier in his career, he held management roles at MBNA America (now Bank of America), gaining broad experience in marketing, sales, finance, and risk management.

Phil has been recognized for his business leadership and civic impact, including being named one of The Daily Record’s “Most Admired CEOs” (2018), one of the Baltimore Business Journal’s “Top 40 Under 40” (2013), and receiving the Elijah J. Cummings Leadership in Diversity Award (2021).

A passionate advocate for service, innovation, and inclusive leadership in the energy industry, Phil serves on several boards, including the National Black Empowerment Council and the Baltimore Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE). He also serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the Alliance to Save Energy.

A Cleveland native, Phil earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Morgan State University.
