Layne is an energy services leader with expertise in management, sales and project management. In his role at MD Energy Advisors, he is responsible for performing business development and direct outreach activities for Entergy New Orleans' energy efficiency program,

Energy Smart.

He leverages existing relationships and recruits new commercial and industrial (C&I) customers and contractors to generate new business, building the pipeline of energy-savings projects to meet program goals. Layne also targets high impact C&I prospects, builds and maintains relationships with key customer accounts, and identifies energy savings solutions at customer facilities. 

Layne has led several energy conservation projects across the United States. Most recently he was an energy services specialist at Motion Industries, the premier industrial solutions company for industry in North America. There he led energy audits in small and large-scale plants to analyze process flow data through data loggers to determine improvements and solutions to reduce energy consumption and waste. Layne also generated cost savings for plant personnel through energy reduction programs as well as product savings with maintenance and capital

projects.

Layne has served in multiple leadership roles, including on the Executive Council of Theta Xi fraternity for two years. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technologies with a concentration in Supervision from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2018.
