Jalen joins Maryland Energy Advisors as an Energy Auditor in the state of Maryland. Bringing a wealth of experience in assessments, quality control, and a keen eye for detail honed through diverse roles in the construction and energy sectors, Jalen has demonstrated a commitment to observing meticulous inspection criteria and adhering to stringent standards.  

The blend of inspection expertise, technical knowledge, and dedication to quality that Jalen brings to the table is a significant asset in supporting our utility program implementation teams and helping clients achieve their energy efficiency goals. In previous roles, Jalen performed Energy Star-aligned audits for commercial and industrial clients where he identified energy efficiency measures and developed comprehensive inspection reports. This experience makes Jalen well-suited to conduct Level I and Level II energy audits for the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), a discipline designed to identify opportunities for energy savings and to provide a roadmap for improving a building's energy efficiency and provide valuable technical recommendations.

With a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the University of Baltimore, Jalen possesses a strong foundational understanding of environmental principles relevant to energy efficiency.
