The team at MD Energy Advisors is pleased to have David Lima join our leadership team as Director of Energy Efficiency. A skilled professional with more than twenty years of experience as an energy expert, David is a commercial leader who manages key accounts and builds strong relationships with executives and stakeholders to ensure that current engagements grow into long-term successful partnerships. By focusing on major clients and large energy users, David identifies new revenue opportunities and expands upon existing client work to cross-sell other services and products. This strengthens clients' energy and utility portfolios—maximizing efficiencies and savings potential and supporting smarter decisions to reduce environmental impact of their energy use.

Prior to joining MDEA, David helped grow energy efficiency initiatives at Sparkfund and later served in energy leadership roles at W.R. Grace, where he managed energy strategy from the perspective of a large commercial energy user. This diverse experience provides him with a comprehensive understanding of both client and provider challenges and opportunities. His experience spans energy procurement and market strategies, utility billing, demand response, carbon-free goals, and ESG reporting. David's expertise culminates in his current role, where he translates energy opportunities into quantifiable business success metrics for our clients. He also leads our team in improving accountability around cost savings, risk reduction, operational efficiencies, sustainability models, and capital planning ventures.

David has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from York College of Pennsylvania.
