Energy Efficiency Project Engineer
Austin brings many skill sets in project leadership, project planning, modeling and energy efficiency to MD Energy Advisors, including energy audits, energy cost analyses, data mining, and data analysis.
In his role, he supports program implementation for Dominion South Carolina’s commercial energy efficiency programs. Austin coordinates all quality assurance activities, including energy calculation review, project plans, technical specifications and field inspections at commercial facilities. He also schedules and conducts technical reviews of energy efficiency projects to verify energy savings.
Austin's expertise and leadership abilities have enabled him to rise through the ranks as an energy efficiency engineer. He began his career as an Energy Engineer/Analyst and most recently served as Energy Engineer II at CLEAResult, North America's largest provider of energy efficiency, energy transition, and decarbonization solutions. There he assisted in the development and launch of a new electric utility rebate program; spearheaded research and development of calculation methodologies for emerging technologies; and completed over 100 various technical reviews across diverse commercial building types, including offices, municipalities, educational facilities, and hospitals.
Austin graduated from the University of Dayton in Ohio with a bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, concentration in Energy Systems, in May 2018.
